Sure this is absolutely incredible and probably an amazing achievement for us over-ambitious monkeys to have created such a massive bath tub, but there are serious issues to be considered here. I appreciate that education is important but places such as these use "education" and "science" as a justification for their treatment of these wild animals. They might do some good work, but the problem is that this work comes at the cost of the animals' lives. Whale Sharks regularly dive to depths of 1km or more and as you can see this enormous pool doesn't even come close. These creatures belong in the ocean. Unfortunately for them though, soon, their ocean home may not be as safe for them as this pool. The Whale Sharks are caught in the wild and brought in to stock these super aquariums; the mortality rate is unacceptably high. If there is science at work here then the biggest conclusion the scientists must be coming to is that if you take the world's largest fish out of their natural environment they die.
